Amazon has begun discounting Apple headphones ahead of Black Friday, with the AirPods Pro 3 currently 20% off and the AirPods Max 2 reduced by $100. The deals offer early savings, but past promotions have gone further, according to the original report.
The AirPods Pro 3 feature active noise cancellation, a heart rate sensor and live language translation. Apple lists listening time of up to eight hours on a single charge. The current discount is comparable to prices seen during some smaller sales, while the earbuds were previously discounted by as much as 32% during Prime Day. Shoppers hoping for the lowest price may therefore want to wait for Black Friday.
The AirPods Max 2, Apple’s over-ear option, have padded ear cups, a mesh headband and active noise cancellation. They offer up to 20 hours of listening time per charge. Although they are now $100 off, the report notes that they reached $399 during June Prime Day and anticipates a similar or better offer during Amazon’s Black Friday sale.
The report also suggests that newer models, including the AirPods 5, could receive their first discount, but that possibility has not been confirmed.
