Ashtin Earle brought a look from Roberto Cavalli’s fall 2005 ready-to-wear collection to the 2026 CFDA Fashion Awards in New York on Monday. The bronze-toned metallic gown was strapless, with a twisted detail at the bust, slim ties down the front and a narrow pleated skirt that ended in a small train. She kept the styling minimal, accessorizing with what appeared to be a black beaded rosary around her wrist.

Earle’s archival Cavalli look follows several recent appearances in pieces from the designer’s early-2000s collections. Lucy Freyer wore a floral Cavalli dress from 2004 to WWD Honors, while Katy Perry chose an animal-print gown from the designer’s spring collection for a Dolly Parton tribute in Nashville. La La Anthony also wore Cavalli separates and collectible boots from spring 2002 for an appearance on “Today With Jenna & Sheinelle.”

The CFDA appearance came after a professional milestone for Earle: WWD reported on Oct. 26 that she had signed with IMG Models, which will help develop her fashion and beauty portfolio. She had previously attended spring 2027 shows for Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Balenciaga, Mugler, Calvin Klein and Michael Kors.

Earle has also drawn on early-2000s style before, appearing in a Juicy Couture and Saint James Iced Tea campaign in September 2025 featuring velour tracksuits and rhinestones.

The CFDA Fashion Awards took place at New York’s American Museum of Natural History. Keke Palmer hosted the ceremony, where nominees included Michael Kors, Tory Burch, Ralph Lauren, Willy Chavarria and Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen of The Row. Anthony Vaccarello received the International Designer of the Year honor, Tory Burch was recognized with the Positive Change Award, and Peter Marino received the Fashion Icon Award.
