Brandy Norwood and Monica Arnold brought two distinct takes on the middle part to the 2026 CFDA Fashion Awards on Monday. The Grammy-winning singers posed together at the event alongside stylist Law Roach, wearing long, polished hairstyles that reflected their individual styles.
Arnold wore bone-straight hair with a center part, reaching her upper thighs. Her look was paired with a forest-green smoky eye, nude lipstick and chestnut-brown lip liner. Norwood opted for a platinum ponytail with a middle part that fell to mid-torso, styled by hairstylist Nikkia Nelson. Makeup artist Gaby Ramos Torell gave her a soft cut crease, pale-gold shimmer, glossy nude lips and blush that highlighted her cheekbones.
The joint appearance brought the singers together years after their 1990s rivalry became a defining part of their public story. Their 1999 hit “The Boy Is Mine” earned three Grammy nominations and one win. Although the song’s love-triangle storyline was fictional, professional tensions between the pair continued for years before their 2025 reunion tour.
