Paris-based fashion label Coperni is ending its operations, with co-founders Arnaud Vaillant and Sébastien Meyer confirming that its main French operating company, Coperni SAS, will cease business activities. The decision follows months of disagreement with distributor and shareholder Tomorrow over unpaid sums and licensing terms.

The dispute intensified after Tomorrow ended its licensing agreement amid unpaid debts. Coperni subsequently sought protection from a commercial court in Paris. The situation became more complicated after Tomorrow Ltd was acquired in March by Progetto 11, the holding company for The Level Group.

Vaillant and Meyer tried to buy back the brand and regain control, but governance disagreements and financial pressures remained unresolved. The label’s Fall/Winter 2026 runway show was also cancelled, before the founders announced the closure.

In a statement, the designers described Coperni’s eight years as an extraordinary collective experience and said they were proud of what they had built. They added that innovation remains a priority and that they have ideas for the future, without specifying what those plans might involve.
