Dancing With the Stars will introduce Grammy Night in Week 9, marking the first time the competition has used the theme. With only a few weeks remaining before a couple wins the Mirrorball Trophy, it is also the show’s last theme night of the season.
The program has not yet released details about the episode. Current TV listings offer only a general description of celebrities paired with professional dancers as they prepare routines and compete for judges’ scores and viewers’ votes. The couples are presumed to dance to Grammy-winning songs, but that has not been confirmed.
The episode is also expected to feature performances by Brandy, Monica, Maren Morris and Sheryl Crow. A dance-off may be part of the night: Julianne Hough said the highest-scoring couple during Disney Night would receive immunity, which went to Harry Shum Jr. and Jenna Johnson.
Going into Week 9, Harry Shum Jr. and Jenna Johnson, and Jenna Dewan and Val Chmerkovskiy, are tied at 80 points out of 80. Ezra Frech and Daniella Karagach have 77, followed by Connor Wood and Rylee Arnold with 72, Amber Glenn and Pasha Pashkov with 70, Tatyana Ali and Jan Ravnik with 69, and Maura Higgins and Mark Ballas with 68.
