Elle Fanning continued her Effie Trinket-inspired fashion streak at Friday’s London photo call for The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping, held at The Corinthia. The actress appeared in a custom Valentino design centered on a ballerina-pink color palette and butterfly embellishments.
The coordinated look featured a long-sleeved, double-breasted jacket with pleating at the hem, paired with a pleated midi pencil skirt. Cream and colorful butterfly appliqués provided contrast across the ensemble, creating a style reminiscent of the Capitol of Panem.
Fanning completed the outfit with pink heels featuring cream cap toes, sheer cream gloves, a beret and an oversized lavallière. Delicate, colorful butterflies were placed on both the gloves and beret, reflecting a symbolic motif in the upcoming Hunger Games installment.
The appearance follows Fanning’s theatrical look for the film’s London premiere on Oct. 28. For that event, the actress worked with stylist Samantha McMillen and wore a design from Robert Wun’s fall 2026 couture collection.
Fanning’s approach differs from that of her Sunrise on the Reaping costar Mckenna Grace, who has incorporated references to the broader Hunger Games universe into her press-tour wardrobe. Fanning has instead focused on Effie Trinket, the character previously played by Elizabeth Banks.
The film is the latest prequel in the franchise after The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes. Set 24 years before Katniss Everdeen enters the arena, it follows a young Haymitch Abernathy, played by Joseph Zada, as he competes in the 50th Hunger Games. The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping is scheduled to reach theaters on Nov. 20.
