Poke Jam, a fan-made basketball game developed by KungFuDOOM, is available to play for free in web browsers. The project combines five-on-five team management inspired by NBA 2K with the fast-paced arcade action of NBA Jam, featuring 291 Pokémon on the court.

The game launched in late October after just over a week of development. Players can use a keyboard, gamepad or touchscreen, with no download required. Its roster draws mainly from Pokémon’s first two generations, alongside selected favorites from later generations. Each Pokémon has attributes including position, shooting, passing, defense, stamina and size, as well as an evolution path.

Matches feature shot meters, dunks, alley-oops and physical shoves, alongside abilities based on Pokémon types. Fire and Dragon types can ignite during a game, while Psychic, Fairy and Steel types are guaranteed to make their next shot. Ghost, Dark and Poison types can temporarily avoid steals and blocks.

Poke Jam offers Quick Play matchups against Kanto Gym Leaders and the Elite Four, as well as a Franchise mode. In Franchise, players manage a 10-Pokémon roster through a nine-week season, handling fatigue, injuries lasting multiple weeks, free agency and evolution. The game also includes an automated season draft simulation. Online multiplayer is planned for a future update.
