Gracie Abrams and Inde Navarrette brought similar deep brunette hair looks to “Saturday Night Live” on Saturday, appearing together during the NBC show’s Halloween episode and later at its official after party in New York City.
Navarrette took on several roles during the episode, including a telenovela star, an uninterested game show contestant and a traveler from the Jersey Shore. Abrams performed two songs from her latest album, “Daughter From Hell.”
Known in recent months for wearing a bixie haircut, Abrams styled her short hair with a side part for her performances. She wore it loose while dressed as Juliet for “Hit the Wall,” then slicked it back with glitter gel as Romeo for “Here You Come, There You Go.” Hairstylist Fabio Petri created the looks, which accompanied Abrams’ bare-faced beauty styling.
Navarrette wore her long, rich-brown hair in a soft blowout that fell down her back. Celebrity hairstylist Marc Mena styled her hair, while makeup artist Kayli Rachelle created her makeup.
Away from their characters, both stars wore softly blushed cheeks and glowing skin. Navarrette added bronzer, long black lashes and dusty rose lipstick, while Abrams chose apple-tinted cheeks, a soft pink lip and fuller, brushed-out brows. Emily Cheng created Abrams’ makeup.
At the after party, Navarrette changed direction with a Betty Boop-inspired look, wearing a short black wig, white eye makeup, spider lashes and bright pink lipstick shaped into a heart. Abrams went for a vampire costume, pairing a long black wig and fake blood with a lace nightgown.
