Honda has officially confirmed that the Civic Type R HRC Concept is being developed for the U.S. market. The HRC-badged vehicle is scheduled to make its North American debut at the 2026 SEMA Show in Las Vegas.

The announcement follows a year of gradual previews from Honda. The automaker first presented an early concept display before releasing a dedicated YouTube development video focused on the project. Honda has not yet detailed the mechanical differences between the HRC Concept and the standard Civic Type R.

The development video did reveal several aerodynamic updates. The concept features a completely redesigned front bumper and a modified rear wing, along with an aggressive winglet positioned above the rear section of the flared front fenders.

Honda has not confirmed whether the Civic Type R HRC Concept will enter full production in the U.S. However, the targeted development announcement is typically made shortly before an automaker confirms a model for sale in a specific market.
