Exaggerated proportions shaped several looks at the 2026 CFDA Fashion Awards on Monday night in New York. Iman, Tinashe, Allison Janney and Esther McGregor each brought volume to the red carpet through details including a prominent bow, a sculptural skirt and oversized sleeves.
Iman wore a black-and-white Thom Browne ensemble, pairing a sleeveless white blouse with a front cutout and a large black bow at the collar with a black column skirt. Wispy ruffles formed a short train, while statement jewelry and pointed black pumps completed the look.
Tinashe chose a variation on a Christopher John Rogers design. Her white bra top featured black and green stripes, matched with a low-rise black skirt that expanded into a voluminous shape. Yellow, red and white panels added contrast.
Allison Janney wore a fuchsia gown from Christian Siriano’s spring 2027 ready-to-wear collection. Its billowing satin sleeves stood out against the sleek, high-neck column silhouette. She finished the look with dangling earrings.
Esther McGregor wore a Thom Browne spring 2027 look built around a plaid bodice, white-collared shirt and striped tie. The tailored vest opened into a tulip skirt combining houndstooth and checked patterns. Black-and-white platform pumps added height to the silhouette.
Presented by Amazon Fashion, the awards were held at New York’s American Museum of Natural History, with Keke Palmer as host. The ceremony recognized American fashion across womenswear, menswear, accessories and emerging design, and included special honors for Vaccarello, Tory Burch and Peter Marino.
