Jake Paul will return to professional boxing on December 24, headlining a holiday event in Dubai after spending a year away from the ring because of injury.

The 29-year-old American has not fought since his December 19, 2025, bout against former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua in Miami. Paul suffered a jaw fracture in two places during the knockout defeat and underwent reconstructive surgeries in December and February.

The injury kept Paul out of competition throughout the year and added a second defeat to his professional record, alongside his loss to Tommy Fury. He currently stands at 12-2.

Paul said in a statement that the setback had not changed his confidence or his ambitions in combat sports. He described himself as more motivated than ever and said the Dubai event would begin the next stage of his career.

An opponent for the December 24 fight has not yet been confirmed. Paul said negotiations are ongoing and that several names remain under consideration.
