Keke Palmer wore a vintage Bob Mackie gown with Gold Aquazzura sandals while hosting the 2026 CFDA Fashion Awards on Monday at New York’s American Museum of Natural History. The one-of-a-kind couture design was originally made for actress Raquel Welch in 1975.
Welch wore the gown while performing “I’m a Woman” with Cher on “The Cher Show.” Palmer’s stylist, Molly Dickson, sourced the archival piece from vintage dealer Timeless Vixen for the awards ceremony.
The pale gold gown featured a halter neckline, embellished straps across the bodice and a skirt detailed with vertical rows of shimmering trim. Its front split was edged with jewels, while delicate straps formed an open back. Palmer paired it with Aquazzura’s gold Divine 105 sandals, which have crossed toe straps, a buckled ankle strap and a 105-millimeter heel. Their mirrored finish echoed the gown’s beaded details.
Palmer completed the look with a copper-red bob in voluminous curls. It was another appearance in metallic gold Aquazzura heels for the actor: in June, she wore the brand’s So Nude Sandal 105 to a Tribeca Festival presentation of KeyTV’s “The Rise and Fall of DivaGurl.”
