The Hunger Games is introducing a new group of stars as Sunrise on the Reaping brings Mckenna Grace, Whitney Peak and Maya Hawke into the world of Panem. The three actors appear as Cosmopolitan’s latest cover stars and open up about filming, fan theories and the pressures surrounding the franchise.
Since the first Hunger Games book was published nearly two decades ago, the series has expanded into a major pop culture phenomenon. It has sold more than 100 million books, inspired six films and generated $3.3 billion at the box office, along with theme park attractions and extensive merchandise.
Sunrise on the Reaping is scheduled to arrive in theaters on November 20. The film’s themes of abused power and suffering presented as spectacle give the story particular resonance in 2026, according to the cover feature.
For the accompanying fashion shoot, Whitney Peak wears Chanel, Maya Hawke appears in Prada and Mckenna Grace is dressed in Miu Miu.
