Nike and Tokyo retailer atmos have unveiled the Air Force 1 ’01 “Harajuku,” a custom design created for atmoscon. The limited pair was first shared by atmos creative director Hirofumi Kojima and arrives ten years after the retailer introduced a 50-pair release at its first convention in 2016.

The shoe uses the reintroduced Air Force 1 ’01 silhouette, with laser-etched maps of Harajuku’s streets across the white leather toe and heel overlays. The Swooshes, eyelets, laces and sole keep an all-white finish.

The design draws on atmos’ home neighborhood, taking a different approach from the 2016 atmoscon edition, which featured “TYO” and “NYC” lettering. The Harajuku pair will be displayed at Nike’s booth during atmoscon in Tokyo, where visitors will have opportunities to win a pair. Details of a wider release have not been announced.
