Porsche and La Marzocco have officially unveiled a limited-edition collaboration that merges precision automotive engineering with Italian espresso heritage. The collection centers on the Linea Micra espresso machine and the matching Pico coffee grinder, both designed to celebrate the legendary 1972 Porsche 911 Carrera RS 2.7. This partnership brings distinct motorsport design cues into home barista preparation, drawing direct inspiration from what was once the fastest German production car of its era.
The Linea Micra features several aesthetic elements derived from the iconic vehicle, including a cup rail inspired by the 911 Carrera RS 2.7 "ducktail" rear spoiler. The machine is equipped with analogue manometers featuring red and green Porsche-styled gauge needles, alongside black handles laser-engraved with "RS" and "2.7" insignia. Completing the look are a magnetic "RS 2.7" graphic badge and an individually numbered side plaque reading "One of 911." The espresso machine is available in three historic Porsche liveries: Grand Prix White–Green and Tangerine–Black, with each limited to 911 units worldwide, and a Grand Prix White–Blue edition restricted to 150 units exclusively for the German market.
On a technical level, the compact dual-boiler machine integrates a convertible 3-in-1 portafilter compatible with single, double, and bottomless spout configurations. It also includes a paddle-actuated electric brew lever, an insulated steam wand, a two-liter front-access water reservoir, and integrated LED barista lights, all controllable via the La Marzocco Home app. The accompanying Pico coffee grinder mirrors the automotive styling with an adjustable magnetic portafilter fork and an auto-close bean hopper.
The collection extends beyond the core appliances to include handcrafted ceramic espresso and cappuccino cups, as well as themed lifestyle apparel such as hoodies, tees, caps, and socks. Additionally, the capsule features a 1:18 scale model of the 911 Carrera RS 2.7 equipped with a miniature coffee machine. The collaboration launched on October 30 and is available via the Porsche Online Shop, select Porsche Centers, and Porsche Design Stores, with prices starting at $2,125 USD.
