Salomon and BEAMS have announced the XT-Quest BEAMS collection, a seven-piece collaboration celebrating BEAMS’ 50th anniversary. Built around the theme “Hybridisation” and the concept “Born in the Alps, Refined in Tokyo,” it combines Salomon’s Alpine trail heritage with the Tokyo culture associated with BEAMS.

The central item is a black, all-weather shoe featuring ski-boot-inspired buckle details. It uses a contaGRIP® outsole, advancedCHASSIS™ and sensiFIT™ construction, along with waterproof GORE-TEX and ripstop materials. The shoe is priced at 42,240 yen, including tax.

The apparel includes a 33,440-yen nylon jacket with a zippered pouch and a backpack-inspired bungee cord on the back, plus matching nylon pants priced at 21,120 yen. Both are made from windproof, durable ripstop material and have practical details intended for urban use.

The remaining pieces are a graphic T-shirt for 7,920 yen, a packable logo cap for 7,040 yen, a packable tote with padded shoulder straps for 11,440 yen, and a logo bandana for 4,400 yen. The bandana’s fabric is sweat-absorbing, quick-drying and stretchy. All seven items use a black base and display both brands’ logos.

The collection is scheduled for an advance release at BEAMS Harajuku on Friday, November 6, alongside a launch party from 19:00 to 21:00. Sales at BEAMS stores and its official online store are set to begin on Saturday, November 7. A rollout at Salomon’s directly managed stores in Japan and internationally is planned to start Thursday, November 12.
