Harry Kane has been awarded the Ballon d'Or after an exceptional 2025-26 campaign in which he scored 73 goals across 65 games. To commemorate this achievement, Skechers has launched a special edition of its SKX_2 "Mark of Greatness" boots. The production run is strictly limited to 73 pairs, directly mirroring Kane's goal tally for the season.
The limited edition footwear features a white knit upper with scattered gold flecks and bold metallic detailing on the studs and "S" logo. In place of standard branding, Kane's signature appears on the lateral heel. Each pair includes a commemorative book documenting highlights from his historic year, which also saw him secure a domestic treble with Bayern Munich.
In addition to the limited run, Skechers created a one-of-a-kind version of the boot for Kane himself. This exclusive pair is adorned with real 24-carat gold leaf and will be worn by the striker during Bayern Munich's upcoming match against Borussia Dortmund. The brand also commissioned a custom gold signet ring from Deakin & Francis, an English jeweler established in 1786. The ring features a lion emblem on its face with the number "73" split across its shoulders.
Kane expressed his gratitude for the honor, noting that winning the award in his hometown made it particularly special. He acknowledged the contributions of his teammates, staff, family, and fans, while highlighting the significance of Skechers designing a bespoke boot to mark the milestone. Kane is the first Englishman to win the Ballon d'Or since Michael Owen in 2001, with his goal total encompassing performances for both Bayern Munich and the England national team.
Michael Greenberg, president of Skechers, stated that the collaboration recognizes Kane's consistency, leadership, and ability to perform under pressure. He emphasized that this achievement demonstrates the brand's capacity to provide elite performance footwear. This release follows a successful year for Skechers athletes, including OG Anunoby's championship-winning shot with the New York Knicks and the subsequent announcement of his own signature sneaker line.
