Social media filled with memes and reactions as results from the 2026 US midterm elections rolled in. Online, users expressed jubilation, disbelief and political schadenfreude, while some described the night as the perfect setup for a Glee reboot.
The response followed Democratic victories and candidates breaking barriers across the country. The mood was described as cautiously optimistic, with some users moving into what the original account called “joyscrolling.”
Among the memes circulating were jokes about Lady Gaga appearing on a dollar bill and Texas sports bars turning into COVID-conscious lesbian bars.
