Suki Waterhouse has clarified the status of her relationship with Robert Pattinson after years of marriage rumors. In a new interview with The Sunday Times, the singer and actor confirmed that they are not yet husband and wife, although they have not ruled out a wedding.
Waterhouse said their celebration would be “all or nothing,” adding that they would want a “massive party” if they decided to marry. She also described the relationship as nearly a decade long and said she feels unable to believe how happy she is to have it in her life.
Pattinson and Waterhouse were first publicly linked in 2018, after they were seen kissing following a screening of Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again. Although reports at the time described them as casually dating, the pair continued to appear together over the following years while largely keeping their private life out of the spotlight.
Pattinson addressed that privacy in a 2019 interview with The Sunday Times, saying that allowing people into a relationship could diminish the meaning of love. He and Waterhouse made occasional public appearances, including a Dior dinner during Paris Fashion Week in January 2020 and their first red-carpet appearance together at a Dior Men show in Egypt in December 2022.
Waterhouse spoke warmly about their relationship in 2023, saying she was surprised by how happy she remained with someone after nearly five years. In November of that year, she announced that she was pregnant. The couple’s engagement was confirmed by a source cited by People the following month.
They welcomed their first child, a daughter, in March 2024. Waterhouse later shared the first photograph of the baby on Instagram and said that she and Pattinson had intentionally planned to become parents. She also recounted meeting Pattinson at a game night in Los Angeles, where the two bonded while other guests took a competitive approach to a game of Werewolf.
Marriage speculation resurfaced in early 2025 after an unverified claim suggested that the couple had married in the Caribbean. Waterhouse’s latest comments to The Sunday Times indicate that they have not tied the knot, despite remaining engaged and continuing to appear together at public events.
