Vans has updated its Premium Classic Slip-On 98 with a Corduroy pack, replacing the shoe’s smooth upper with ribbed synthetic fabric in Black and Bordeaux. The new versions retain the low-profile, laceless shape while adding a more textured finish.

Corduroy covers the entire upper, with raised ribs creating differences in how each color appears under the light. The product listing says each pair receives an individual finishing treatment, meaning the effect can vary between pairs and even from one shoe to the other.

Inside, the shoes use Vans’ SOLA foam ADC insole, which is made with 30% bio-based material. The Slip-On 98 first appeared in 1979, according to the product information.

The Vans Premium Classic Slip-On 98 Corduroy is available now at BILLY’S for ¥13,750 JPY, approximately $90 USD. The listed SKUs are VN000D9PCJK for Black and VN000D9PBRD for Bordeaux.
