Timothy Simons, a star of Nobody Wants This, discussed the performance on The Kyle Buchanan Show. He said the film’s jail-visit recreation made him see Seyfried and Holmes as one, and described Seyfried’s work as incredible. Simons also noted that he was unsure how Oscar eligibility rules apply to a documentary.
After seeing the conversation, Seyfried commented “TIMOTHY” with two heart-eyes emojis. Variety reports that she is eligible for a Best Supporting Actress nomination and that A24 is actively campaigning for her.
