Crenshaw Skate Club and Sprite have joined forces on a streetwear capsule that brings the skate label’s aesthetic together with Sprite’s associations with basketball and street culture. The range includes graphic T-shirts, sweatpants, a six-panel cap and an updated tracksuit, including a mesh jacket paired with oversized mesh shorts. Green and yellow details run throughout the designs.
The collection also draws on founder Tobey McIntosh’s memories of growing up in South Central Los Angeles. One T-shirt features an illustrated portrait with the Sprite logo shaved into the subject’s hair, echoing the haircut-design menus McIntosh remembers seeing in neighborhood barbershops.
The capsule will first be available at a pop-up on November 7 at 439 N Fairfax Avenue in Los Angeles. The address was the original location of the Supreme store that first stocked Crenshaw Skate Club T-shirts in 2018. An online release follows on the brand’s website on November 9 at 11 a.m. PST. Prices range from $50 to $120.
