Manolo Blahnik has opened a new boutique at Shanghai’s Plaza 66, two years after launching its first store in mainland China. The shop is located in the luxury shopping center’s newly unveiled phase three pavilion expansion.

Designed under the creative direction of CEO Kristina Blahnik, the boutique was developed with Shanghai-based spatial design specialists BYB Vision. Its interior takes inspiration from the brand’s Burlington Arcade store in London and its “living room” approach, intended to give the space the warmth and character of a private residence.

The store includes bespoke furnishings by Beijing-based designer Chen Darui and a wall displaying selected original ink illustrations by Manolo Blahnik. It opens with pieces from the fall 2026 collection, whose inspirations range from London in the 1960s to the Scottish Lowlands and ornate Italian castles.

The boutique also carries signature styles including the Maysale, created for designer Isaac Mizrahi in 1991, alongside the satin and crystal-embellished Nadira and Hangisi. Winter 2026 styles are also available, with a focus on boots. New designs include the pointed-toe Ofaralex ankle boot with a sculptural contrast heel, and the suede Sonsal, which has a block heel.

Kristina Blahnik described Shanghai as an important market for the brand, saying the new store reflects its commitment to creating distinctive spaces and personal experiences for clients. She added that the company looks forward to further strengthening its presence in the region.

The Shanghai opening follows the brand’s return to Harrods in London with a new boutique at the Knightsbridge department store. Manolo Blahnik said in August that it planned to continue investing for the long term, including through standalone stores in markets worldwide.
