Piaget has introduced the Andy Warhol “Camouflage” limited edition, its latest collaboration with The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts. The self-winding watch will be produced in 86 pieces worldwide.
The design takes inspiration from Warhol’s 1986 self-portraits, in which camouflage patterns obscured the artist’s face. Its dial is assembled from 27 pieces of sodalite, turquoise and Gold, forming an abstract pattern. Piaget says the stone marquetry required more than 100 hours of design, research and assembly.
The dial sits inside a 45mm cushion-shaped white-gold case with the collection’s signature gadroons. The watch is powered by Piaget’s 501 P1 manufacture movement and features dauphine hands. Warhol’s signature and the individual edition number are engraved on the caseback.
The release follows Piaget’s “Collage” series. The company secured exclusive rights to use Warhol’s name in 2024; the collection was previously known as Black Tie Vintage.
