Ralph Lauren was named American Menswear Designer of the Year at the 2026 CFDA Fashion Awards, held Monday night at the American Museum of Natural History. Actor Matt Damon presented the award, which Lauren has also won in 1996 and 2007.

Lauren was selected ahead of fellow nominees Thom Browne, Todd Snyder, Willy Chavarria, and Public School New York designers Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne. The win follows his second American Womenswear Designer of the Year award last year; his first was in 1995.

The CFDA has also recognized Lauren with its Lifetime Achievement, Retailer of the Year, Humanitarian Leadership, American Fashion Legend and inaugural Popular Vote honors. He is the only designer to have received all of the organization’s top honors, according to the award announcement.

Other winners included Rachel Scott of Diotima for American Womenswear Designer of the Year, Ana Khouri for American Accessories Designer of the Year, and Colleen Allen for American Emerging Designer of the Year. Anthony Vaccarello received International Designer of the Year.
