Oner Active has opened its first physical store at 0 Bond Street in New York, marking the U.K.-based athleticwear brand’s move from an online-focused business into brick-and-mortar retail. Founder and creative director Krissy Cela described New York as a natural first location because the United States is the company’s largest customer base.
Cela said the store is intended to give customers a new way to experience the brand, including the opportunity to feel its fabrics and see how its products fit in person. The opening follows a strong first half of 2026 for Oner, which reported year-to-date gross revenue of $97.6 million. The company also said it generated $31.8 million in gross revenue during Black Friday week last year and that more than one million units had been sold from its SoftMotion collection this year.
Rather than defining Oner solely as an activewear label, Cela described it as a “movement brand.” The company aims to retain its focus on strength and performance while creating pieces that can be worn beyond gyms, tracks and Pilates studios.
The 4,700-square-foot NoHo store was developed with Jonathan Goodman, formerly Ganni’s executive vice president and now Oner’s global retail director, and Thomas Elliot, formerly a senior manager of architecture at Alexander McQueen. Paris-based design studio Harmo worked with Cela on the interiors.
Steel features prominently throughout the space, representing strength within Oner’s community and referencing gym weights. The store also includes custom mannequins in three body types, a photobooth and a signature scent created with Florence-based perfumer Sileno Cheloni. The design places particular emphasis on the fitting-room experience, mirrors and lighting, including spaces intended for customers to take mirror selfies.
To mark the opening, Oner is releasing “NY Seen,” a limited-edition lifestyle capsule available exclusively in the store. The collection uses the brand’s SoftMotion fabric alongside new heavyweight knits. Cela said the range was inspired not only by New York style but also by the city’s broader landscape and energy.
Oner’s next planned location is in Los Angeles, which is slated to open next year. The brand also said it intends to expand its retail presence in the United States and the United Kingdom, while exploring categories and uses beyond traditional activewear.
