Little Napoli, the MICHELIN Bib Gourmand 2026 recipient located in Wan Chai, Hong Kong, has unveiled a significant expansion of its culinary offerings. Since opening in 2021, the restaurant has primarily been known as a neighborhood takeaway, but this fall marks its most extensive menu update to date. The refresh allows Chef and Owner Gavino Pilo to explore the broader food culture of his native Naples beyond the pizza oven.
The new menu introduces four antipasti, seven hot plates and fresh pastas, five desserts, and eight Special Creation pizzas, bringing the total pizza selection to 27 varieties. Among the new starters is the Carpaccio di Polpo featuring Mediterranean octopus and Amalfi lemon zest. The hot plates section includes comforting options such as the crispy Crochetta di Patate Ripiena and Ziti alla Genovese with slow-braised beef.
Pasta now receives greater prominence on the menu, featuring homemade Gnocchi alla Sorrentina, pork-and-beef Cavatelli al Ragù Napoletano, and a lighter fettuccine topped with Sicilian shrimp tartare, heirloom tomatoes, and Amalfi lemon. The dessert section has also been expanded to include Ricottamisù, Rum Babbà, and Mini Sfogliatella Riccia.
Pizza remains the anchor of Little Napoli's identity, with Pilo using the expanded format to balance tradition with expressive combinations. New Special Creations include the Luciana topped with Mediterranean octopus, San Marzano tomato, Gaeta olives, garlic, and chilli; the Parigina featuring a buffalo ricotta-stuffed crust, smoked ham, and smoked Agerola mozzarella; and the sweet-and-savory Cilentana combining Capocollo, buffalo blue cheese, and Cilento fig sauce. Additionally, the restaurant has introduced old-school 40cm Pizza a Ruota di Carro, or "Cart Wheel" pizzas, characterized by their oversized diameter and exceptionally thin crust.
Despite these additions, Little Napoli continues to serve classic Neapolitan staples such as Marinara, Margherita, Diavola, and Vesuviana. These pizzas are made from fresh daily dough and baked to order in a traditional stone oven using the restaurant's signature 90-second baking process. The Pizza Fritta remains another deeply Neapolitan staple on the menu. The restaurant was also recognized with a Top 30 spot in the 50 Top Pizza Asia-Pacific 2026 list.
